Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st 2009
These will be run using the ASA’s BAGCAT rules, under which the Age Group Champion is decided by a variety of strokes and distances, in order to find the best all-round swimmer.
Taking in to account the comments following Club Championships in 2008 the provisional programme is now over 2 days. Confirmation of this will depend on how many entries we receive and then if we can fit the events in the time!
Also there will be additional awards this year, for the winners of the individual races but until the position of Trophy Controller is filled no plans for the Presentation Evening can be made.
Please visit the club website to print off the entry form, provisional programme and the events as a picture

Blog 384: Busy Weekend sees Success on 3 Fronts
It was a busy weekend for Long Eaton's swimmers!
The Masters lead the way with 5 Golds at the Midland Masters Championships from Helen Akers (50, 100, 200 Free), Liz Simpson (400 Free) and Martin Sarfield (400 IM), with Helen breaking the Midland District record in the 50m and 200m Freestyle. Helen and Liz also picked up Silver Medals in the 100 IM and 200 Free respectively, while there were top 6 finishes for Matt Glover, Laura Marinelli and all 3 of our relay teams. Click here for full results.
The club's Elite Squad swimmers spent the weekend competing at the City of Derby Open Meet. There were a huge number of medals and PBs, with Gabriel Calland, Kevin Wallbank, Mischa Menzies and Beatrice Roberts adding further Midland Qualifying Times to the club's growing list. In the overall standings Kevin Wallbank finished in first place in the 13 years age group, with Elle Pryce, Francesca Harris, Simon Barnatt, Oliver Davidson, Gabriel Calland, Mischa Menzies, Jess Walker and Kate Williamson all achieving top 6 overall placings in their age groups. Click here for full results.
Finally, not to be out done, the club's Development Squad swimmers achieved a credible 3rd place finish in the first round of the Leicester Diddy League, with wins recorded by Maria Wood, Will Barker, Oliver Severn, Jacob Hunt and the Boys 10 Years Medley Relay. This was particularly impressive as many of the strongest swimmers were absent competing in the City of Derby Open.
Well done to everyone who took part in this weekends events, and thanks to all the officials and coaches for giving up their time to make all 3 events a success.
