Blog 409: REMINDER!

Would parents please ensure that children do not play on the spiral, metal staircase by the Trent College pool entrance. It is very easy to slip or fall from and thus dangerous. The same applies to the wall at the pool entrance. We are guests when on College premises and it is therefore important that children are properly behaved and appropriately supervised. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Blog 407: Important Changes to Sunday Evening Training

The QLC Family Pool is closed for the foreseeable future due to an equipment failure. This will affect the Sunday evening sessions for Development 3, Junior and Elite Potential Squads. All other groups are unaffected. The following replacement schedule will be in place from this Sunday 7th June:

Elite Potential - 5:00-6:45pm, Trent College
Development 3 - 6:45-8:00pm, Trent College
Junior Squad - 8:00-9:00pm, West Park

These changes are in place until further notice - please check the blog regularly for updates on the situation.

Bog 406: June 13th Time Trials and more

Saturday June 13th at West Park (warm up 6.30pm), second opportunity for those who entered the 8/u events in the Club Championships to swim . The best result will count! There will be other events as required. Please take this opportunity to update your PBs and try distances that are new to you. 9 or over next year? your distances will be 200m+ as well as 50m. 12 year old girls and 13 year old boys - you need to start getting some 100m times. Learn to Swim are welcome to attend provided they are confident over 25m! All help on poolside please - we can not run these events without volunteers!

The new hats have now arrived.

The distances badges and certificates for LTS will be available on Sunday.

Blog 405: Club Championships Results

Congratulations to all those who competed in the Club Championships this weekend, there were some great results in all age groups. Results can now be found on the West Park/ Trent College notice boards or e-mail john.hidle@ntlworld.com for a set.

The next gala for most of you will be the Jamie Rigby memorial gala this Saturday evening. If you have not yet indicated your availability to swim please do so by ticking by your name on the notice board by tomorrow evening. Please do not leave this until the last minute as this does not allow time to find a replacement if you are unavailable.
