Blog 1693: ASA Registration Cards
I have recently received a large number of ASA Registration cards.
If you have completed and submitted an ASA registration form via the club membership process and have yet to receive your card(s) these will be available for collection during the Club Championship weekend.
I will be poolside for most of the weekend however the cards can be collected from my wife Debra.
If your card is not available for collection I am unable to predict when it might arrive as the ASA appear to wait until they have a large number pending before processing.

Blog 1688: Northampton Summer Festival
An amazing weekend for Long Eaton S.C. at the Northampton Summer Festival with he club finishing 2nd behind Elmesmere College in the top club trophy with a total of 17 golds 18 silver and 19 bronze medals. I lost count of the number of top 6 places we had as well. The most pleasing thing to see though was how much further along in terms f skill development our swimmers are than in other clubs, we are now not only going further underwater off the walls than other clubs but doing it faster than they are swimming to the same distance. Now we have these skills in place we can develop speed whilst other clubs will have to develop these skills. Not only was it in the pool that I saw a massive improvement but it was out the pool as well, with swimmers taking on more fluids without being told coming for feedback before and after races, warming up and warming down properly, arriving on time and doing some bloodflow and supporting each other throughout the weekend as a team

Congratulations to Chloe Blaydon on winning her Age Group in last weekend's Derbyshire ASA Open Water Championships, held, in conjunction with the Regional Championships, at Bosworth Water.
