Blog 2034 More success for Long Eaton Swimmers

Lauren Wilcox and Chloe Blaydon did the Matlock aquathlon they came 2nd in the junior relay team, Chloe swam 500 meters in the Derwent and Lauren ran 5k uphill.

Chloe came 2nd female back in all her open water swims, She's swam at Sheffield 1 mile, Henley on Thames 1 mile and Nottingham 1500 metres.

Blog 2032: Tri Squad break

Tri squad members are reminded that their break is now in effect as they trained the first 3 weeks. Please do not attend sessions until the programme starts back fully on September 1st. This break as with every other swimmer is factored into your fees.

Blog 2031: Fee Renewal Letters

We have been making various efforts to distribute the renewal letters for next season at various training sessions and via Squad Representatives.
We do however have a large number that have yet to be reach the recipient.

If you are yet to receive a renewal letter these can be collected from the:

Cafeteria of West Park between 08.00 and 11.30 on Saturday 16th August 2014.

I would be really grateful if you could make every effort to collect your renewal letter at this time, it will save the club money and it is also an opportunity to ask questions about membership related issues.

Note: the above does not apply to our Derventio swimmers whose letters are being distributed via Keith Kelly.

Blog 2030: Erewash Triathlon

The 2014 Erewash Triathlon was held today and LESC hosted the swimmimg section.

I would like to thank those members who gave up their time on a Sunday morning and came along to help, despite the Triathlon being abandoned at 10.30am due to the adverse  weather conditions the swimming section went well for us.

We hope to receive a donation for the club from the council for our efforts so thank you again

Blog 2029: Helen Medals in Montreal

Helen Gorman wins Silver in 200 Breaststroke in a European Record time  and Bronze in the 100 metres  in a new British Record Time.

Blog 2028: Membership and Fee Renewal Letters

Letters are being handed out at selected training sessions over the next 2 weeks, arrangements will be made to distribute those members not swimming during this time.

Swimmers will notice that the squad names have changed, details will be published of the new squad structure and training times on the new website shortly.

Please check the standing order forms, complete any information required and return to your bank or building society in time for the September payment. Please do not return standing order forms to the swimming club or members of the committee.
