Blog 2019-20: 10 x 200 kick test results

National Squad took part in the first of 3 back to back 10 x 200 kick tests this weekend. The aim is to hold the fastest possible pace for all 10 200's. As a squad they smashed the old squad average by 13 seconds per 200 showing just how far their kicking has come on in the last 7 months. Kick is probably the most hated set by swimmers universally, however, it is vital, not only as a means of additional propulsion but as the legs contain the biggest muscles this is where fatigue sets in first in races. You will not see any world class swimmer who cannot kick. Keep up the great work squad and lets see if we can lower the average again next Sunday. Below is a link to the results and the club table where the all time best averages are recorded.
