Blog 1785: Winter is here

One of the topics covered at this weekends England talent camp was self management for swimmers. This is making sure you eat right, recover right, prepare right and basically do everything you can to keep yourself healthy.

The immune system effectivly goes off line for 3 hours after training this is because your body's number one priority is to recover and repair its self from the effects of exercise. This is when you will be most vunerable to colds and flu. So as a swimmer you need to do everything you can to avoid this.

Wrap up after training, eat right, make sure you are getting enough Vit D, C and omega 3 to help your immune system.
