Blog 1782: ASA Cat 1 / Cat 2 information

If you are currently a CAT 1 Swimmer who wishes to compete you must upgrade to CAT 2.

You can check your current ASA Membership Category here:

http://www.swimming.org/asa/clubs-and-members/membership-check/

If you are currently CAT 1 now would be a great time to upgrade, particularly if you intend to compete early on in the new year, for instance at the Long Eaton Open Meet in January.  This might particularly apply to those swimmers who turn nine in the next few months, this being the normal earliest competing age group.

If you upgrade now , the fee will be £17.60 and will cover you for all competitions right through to the end of 2014.  The same fee and duration of cover will apply if you wait until the New Year.
Additionally the ASA lock the database at the beginning of December for the renewals process, at which time it will become more difficult to upgrade.

There are a few CAT 2 forms available on the notice board at West Park alternatively email members.lesc@hotmail.co.uk and request an electronic form CAT 2 to be sent to you.

Please complete the form and return with a cheque for £17.60, made payable to Long Eaton SC, and return both via the post box adjacent to the Trophy Cabinet at West Park.
