Blog 1992: Many Thanks

With July just around the corner and the summer break in sight I wanted to say a heart felt thank you on behalf of the club, but also as a parent of a swimmer, to those individuals who volunteer their time to support galas, league events and club championships.

I had not realised the number of volunteers required to run these events until being involved with the Long Eaton Open earlier this year.

We are always desperately short of volunteers to team manage, time keep and officiate. These are essential roles in running swimming competition but also enjoyable tasks which I would personally recommend to anyone.
