Blog 2264: Diddy League

A superb start to the Diddy League competition saw Long Eaton take a well deserved 3rd place against the previous years finalists. In a draw that made me wince at first sighting, a collective and uniform strength in all the age groups ensured that we were always in the mix of the top positions. Helped by several individual winners and relay wins, it was in the final third where we managed to pull away from Chesterfield and secure a very respectable 3rd place. Credit goes to the swimmers who showed wonderful team spirit, great skills, mature racing, and good behaviour on the poolside. Also thanks to the team managers, timekeepers/judges and parents who gave up their time to support the club.

16th May is the next round so save this date in your calendar!
