Blog 2913: - Smith-Young Scholarships

On the 29th December 2015 Blog 2737 highlighted an opportunity for young people to apply for the Young-Smith Scholarship, an annual award made by the Rotary Club of Long Eaton open to persons between the age of 14 and 20 on 1st January 2017, who are resident in, or enrolled at a place of education in, the areas of Long Eaton, Breaston or Sawley.

The scholarship is on the basis of the ‘best use of the award’.

 

This year 4 members of the Long Eaton Swimming Club are recipients of an award from this programme: -

Rotary International (R.I.) is a service organisation of business and professional leaders united worldwide to help those in need, whose motto is ‘Service Above Self’.

 

The Rotary Club of Long Eaton is an active part of the community and has supported a large number or individuals, groups and projects within our local community including our swimming club.
