Blog 3265: Call for Officials
This year Derbyshire are hosting the East Midlands Masters Inter-county event at Alfreton on Sunday 2nd July. Warm up is 1.30pm for 2.00pm start - it takes around 2 hours 15 minutes for 60 events, all individuals are 50m plus assorted relays.
As the host county, Derbyshire need to provide 2 Referees and 2 judges, and one each of starter, chief time-keeper plus timekeeper(s) for our lane. This is also an excellent training/post-qualification opportunity as it covers all strokes plus relays.
If you are able to help please contact the Derbyshire Masters Rep, Clive Smith, by 31st May.

Blog 3264: Open Water Swimming
Chloe Blaydon has made a great start to her Open Water season by competing in the warm
waters around the island of Tabarca, off mainland Spain. It was scheduled as a 5K
event but was actually measured at 6.8k and she completed the course in 1hour
44 minutes and 3 seconds.
Chloe finished second in the elite category which qualifies her for the World Championships in October, and 20th overall out of 183 swimmers.

Blog 3260: LOST SWIMZI ONESIE
Holly Cooke has lost her Swimzi Onesie at some time over the last 3 weeks. Could you all check to see if anyone has picked this up from either a recent gala or from the changing rooms during training.
It is an age 13 Onesie and has the name Holly Cooke written on the inside label in Sharpie pen. It may also have a portable phone charger in one of the pockets.
Obviously the Onesies are quite expensive so we would be grateful if you would do a double check of all of your swimmers bags. If anyone has found this please could they let me know at swimsecretary@longeatonswimmingclub.org.uk or let Michelle Cooke know directly.
