Blog 3271: County Long Course
Could not be more proud of the club at County Long Course Championships. The swimmers showed amazing
skills and technical improvements in every race today, with a lot of junior swimmers gaining important Long Course experience. Once again we left our area
clean and tidy yet again; yes I go on about this but small details
matter and acting in the right way and doing the small things right is
what champions are made of. A really impressive 85% personal best swims, including some
youth, senior and masters swimmers who are sore and very tired, at the end of a cycle just
prior to taper. Liz Simpson secured another Masters East Midlands record, and more regional qualifying
times were gained. The most impressive thing though was how they handled a difficult
situation and the support they showed one another. It’s how we react to
difficult times that shows true character and our guys have that in
abundance. Well done to at @lescnews swimmers today you made me and your
club very proud. I would like to add a massive thank you to all the volunteers who made this event happen.
