Open Meet 2018
The LESC Open Meet will shortly be upon us on Sunday 14th
Jan at Queens St Derby and we need your help to ensure the success of this, our main annual Fundraising activity of the year.
We
need more Sponsors to sponsor the races. Sponsorship money goes towards the cost of the medals and awards. Anyone can sponsor a race for £30 or two
races for £50; your name will be appear in the programme and you can specify
which race/races you wish to sponsor. Perhaps you know of someone who may like to
sponsor us, a company, a relative, it can be anyone? Any offers or suggestions please contact Sue
On the day, Sunday 14th, we require lots
of volunteers. In addition to our growing pool of Qualified Officials, we need Health & Safety Stewards, especially during the warm up sessions, Competitors' Stewards to ensure the swimmers are ready and waiting for their events. Support for the Computer and Timing Operators, the Announcer and at the medal table. Keeping everyone fed and watered - all jobs that ensure we put on an Open Meet that our visitors enjoy and a great way for you to learn more about swimming and make new friends! All offers of help, please, to our Volunteer Coordinator Leeanne who will find you a job to suit. No previous experience needed!
