Blog 3300: County Relays

Just to keep everyone up to date. I have taken the coaching decision not to enter County Relays this year. County Championships are ment to be a precursor to Regional Championships and fall in line with them. Unfortunately the County have reverted back to the old style of relays which have no coaching or performance benefits, as they do they follow the relay format at either Regional or National level, therefore serve no benefit to the swimmers taking part.Therefore after careful consideration it will be better on this occasion to have the Sunday Afternoon off following 10 long sessions of racing. So make sure you enter a full programme at Counties as the competition will replace any training those weekends.
