Blog 3337: Holme Pierrepont Team Day Event – Sunday 10th June

I am pleased to announce we have been able to arrange a team building / fun day event for the whole club, to take place at the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont Country Park in Nottingham, on Sunday 10^th June.
This event is for all squads from JD1 up to Masters, (not Little Sharks).

The day will start at 9.30am and finish at approx. 3pm.

Currently we are planning for people to make their own way there; however, if there is sufficient interest it is possible we could arrange a bus from West Park for a small additional charge.

In the morning we will have use of the outdoor E-Combat Laser Tag arena. https://www.nwscnotts.com/nwsc/ecombat-laser-tag-adults

In the afternoon we will have use of the Lagoon Wipe-out course. https://www.nwscnotts.com/nwsc/lagoon-wipeout

All equipment / wetsuits etc will be provided on the day, although we would ask that you bring your own packed lunch/picnic to eat between activities.

The club have arranged to subsidise this event; making the maximum cost per person for the day to be £15.

It is possible we may be able reduce this cost per person further through fundraising activities, which we are looking to organise. The more support we get for fundraising activities, the more events such as these we can arrange and keep the cost to manageable levels, enabling as many people as possible the chance to go.

Now some important info:
You must be at least 8 years old to take part in the activities – however if you are under 8 and would still like to attend you are very welcome to come along with a parent and watch/enjoy a picnic. We are also hoping to arrange games of rounders etc while we are there. There would be no cost for this.
If you are aged 8 or 9 you can take part in the activities but you must bring a parent with you. The parent does not need to take part in the activities (unless they want to!), however any parent accompanying an 8 or 9-year-old child who does take part in the activities would also need to pay the £15 for the day. If you are not taking part in the activities there would be no charge.

For those wishing to go, we will need a £5 deposit per person by Sunday 11^th March to secure the booking and provide numbers to the Water Sports Centre. The balance payment will be taken nearer the time.

There is a list on the notice board at West Park. Please add your name to the list if you would like to go, and put your £5 deposit into the box before Sunday 11^th March. Cheques to be made payable to LESC.

Please ensure your deposit is in an envelope with you name/names on it. If we are unable to associate your £5 deposit with your name we cannot guarantee you a place.

If you would like to come but will NOT be taking part in the activities, please add your name to the list and tick the ‘no activities’ box.
