Firstly I wanted to say a big thank-you to all of our volunteers who helped out this weekend at Club Champs.
I know I say it every time but we really couldn't do it without you all; it isn't possible to run events like these for the swimmers without our volunteers; so the club (and all the swimmers!) are really appreciative of your help.
I wanted to extend a special thanks to our two rookie announcers Steve and Paul who stepped in at the last minute and did a great job last night.
Also a special mention to Matthew Simpson who has learned how to set up all the gala entries and keyed in everyone's results over the weekend to achieve his Duke of Edinburgh skills award.
Finally a well done to all of our swimmers - its been a fantastic Club Champs with some great swims, lots of PBs, lots of Championship records broken - with swimmers from Little Sharks right through to our Fitness and Masters squads taking part - and not forgetting our coaches who joined in with the racing! Congrats to Spen, Alex, Chris & Maggi.
I hope all of you enjoyed the event - especially those swimming at their first club champs - I hope it will be the first of many.
The results for session two will be on the website later today.
Don't forget we are now into the summer programme and we will return to full training following Mini Camp on Monday 2nd September.
