Hi all
Following on from the governments announcement yesterday we are going to take our summer break from Sunday 5th July to Sunday 19th July inclusive. This will replace the normal summer break in August. It has always been the clubs intention to have this break prior to any return to the pool but with the delay looking like it will take us to at least 20th July before pools reopen we are getting ahead of the game and taking the break now. Hopefully this helps our members with plans etc.
On Monday 20th of July we will return to training and hopefully this will then involve some pool sessions. Details of the return to training will be communicated to yourselves as soon as possible.
In the meantime keep engaged with the the online sessions and club communications.
Whilst this season has been cut short it was shaping up to be one of our most successful seasons to date. The improvements in the lower age groups in terms of both standards and numbers were pointing to diddy league success and having over 20 regional qualifiers going into the break with more on the verge of qualifying showing the strength in the upper age groups as well. The way we have come together during this crisis and supported each other just shows how much team spirit has grown within the club. All of which I want to build on next season.
On July 4th we plan on having an online party/BBQ. If its safe to visit your friends within the club to BBQ together whilst being online with other friends and families please do so. Hawaiian shirts and party frocks are the theme for the evening and if anyone wants to send in song suggestions I will get a playlist for the evening sorted.
So lets come together and celebrate the greatest season that never was!!
