On an eventful first day of British Masters Championships, Liz Simpson claimed silver in the 400 Free, Helen Akers came 4th in the 50 Free and Becky Fox broke the European record in the 50 Free in a time of 27.12 only to be disqualified for wearing the wrong type of suit. The high light of the day so far saw the team of Becky Fox, Laura Marinelli, Liz Simpson and Helen Akers win gold in the 4 x 200 free relay in a New British Record of 9:45:16, With both Helen and Becky doing the 200 free tonight and Liz the 200 IM and Maggie the 50 Back, there could be more good news to report later.
