Blog 3373: County Squad Friday Evening Session - change of time

Due to circumstances beyond our control, County Squad training on Friday evenings will take place at 7.30pm-8.30pm at Trent College effective from 6^th April. An email will be distributed shortly confirming this change.

Blog 3363: Leicester League

Well done to everyone who took part across any of the Leicester League galas. Finishing 3rd overall in the league, every swimmer was determined to do their best and it clearly showed. It was great to see all the swimmers supporting and motivating each other throughout every round. Well done!

Blog 3358: Reminder for Leicester League

The bus for Leicester League will leave West Park at 3.30pm on Saturday.  Please be there for 3.15pm to allow a prompt departure.

The bus fare is £5 per person.

Please make sure someone (either a Team Manager or a team-mate) knows if you are making your own way there, so the bus isn't waiting for you.

Blog 3356: Introduction to Open Water session

Hathersage Lido is running two 'Intro to Open Water' sessions.  The first session will be on 28th March 6-7.30pm, the second session will be on 4th April, again 6-7.30pm.  The cost will be £6.50 per session.  Whilst this is initially aimed at adults, confident under 18 club swimmers are also welcome.  All bookings to be made direct with the Lido - www.hatersageswimmingpool.co.uk / call 01433 650843.

Please note the following changes to training next weekend:

No training for National Squad at West Park
No land training for Midland Squad at West Park (swim still as normal 07.30 - 09.00)

County Squad will train at Loughborough 4-5

Blog 3352: Entry times for Notts Northern Meet

It has been clarified that you do need entry times for this event.  If you haven't swum the event before however, you can enter an estimated time.  If you need to estimate a time, please speak to your coach and get them to sign your entry form before you put it in the box at West Park.

Blog 3351: Notts Northern Open Meet - County, JD1 & JD2 squads

Entries are now open for the Notts Northern Junior Open Gala - to be held on Sunday 24^th June 2018 at Harvey Hadden Sports Village.  This meet is open to swimmers from County, JD2 & JD1 squads.

Entries for this meet are on a first come, first served basis, so the closing date for entries into the box at West Park is Monday 19^th March.  You do not need an entry time for this event - if you enter without a time (ie just tick the events you want to enter on the entry form), you will simply be placed in one of the first heats.  Please speak to your coaches before you enter though - they may be able to help to give you an idea of an entry time, which will help you to race against people of a similar standard on the day.

There will be no programmes available on the day – the programme will be on our website 3 days before the meet.

Entries are now open for the Eckington Open Meet - to be held on Sunday 13^th May 2018 at Eckington Leisure Centre.  This meet is open to swimmers from Midland, County, JD2 & JD1 squads.

Entries for this meet are on a first come, first served basis - the closing date for entries into the box at West Park is Monday 12^th March.  You must enter a time for each event you wish to swim, although the time does not have to be on the ASA database.  There are qualifying times for the meet – please see the entry pack for details.  If you are unsure about what time to enter, please speak to your coach before you submit your entry form.

Given the current and forecast weather conditions we have taken the decision to cancel ALL training this evening (Thursday 1 March) and tomorrow morning (Friday 2 March).
